Last August 24, 2017, the Elementary Department went on a Going Out. The Going Out, a field trip, is a much-awaited annual activity, because parents use this time to bond with their children. This year’s Going Out featured “Beauty and the Beast”, a musical by Repertory Philippines, and Fort Santiago.
We were amazed while watching Beauty and the Beast, singing along with the cast and having fun with them. The play was unique because it was different from the usual movies from Disney that we usually see.
We also enjoyed the tour in Fort Santiago because while were looking at real objects about Jose Rizal and other areas there, we were learning something new that we could use for our lessons about Gomburza, Jose Rizal and more.
For lunch, the buses dropped us off at the Mall of Asia. We enjoyed walking around the mall with our classmates and teachers. The bus trips were not tiring, since our tour organizers entertained us with games while we were on the road.
It was a great Going Out! We were really thankful to God because he guided us while we were on our trip and going back home. We didn’t experience bad weather and accidents that we mostly watch in news.

For 50 years in school, this was our first time to experience a singing contest. It was the first time to let the students show their talent and skills in singing. It was such a good feeling to show something new.
We sang different beautiful OPM songs (Original Pinoy Music) that make our language proud. We hope that all of us enjoyed the contest. Some of the contestants didn’t win but they were very good.
Thank you Harcon School of Music for playing the melodies of each song. We are so proud of the students who sang. Truly, you should be proud of yourselves.
Thank You!
